Since its inception in 1976 the architectural firm of Anthony S. DiProperzio, A.I.A. has been serving the private and public sectors of the construction industry and has been recognized as a leader within the architectural community. As it presently exists, the firm is actually a result of the merging of four highly successful architectural firms.
In 1986, upon the retirement of Douglas Persich, A.I.A., the firm of Persich and Giacopelli, A.I.A., established in 1955, merged with Anthony S. DiProperzio, A.I.A. and became Giacopelli and DiProperzio, A.I.A. On December 31, 1987 James J. Giacopelli retired, and in 1993 the name of the firm was returned to Anthony S. DiProperzio, A.I.A. In June of 2018, Michael Mallia became a partner of the firm and the name changed to DiProperzio & Mallia Architects, LLP.
The merging of the firms, coupled with the extensive experience of the principals, created a diversified practice resulting in a history of successful broad range projects including custom single family residential, multi-family high rise, commercial, institutional, religious and public projects.
